Aasia jewelry represents extremely intricate designs, interplay of color and texture, use of various bead stitches like peyote, herringbone, bead embroidery. Each piece is meticulously handmade and some may take upto several weeks to complete. Variations of bead weaving are endless and results are beautiful. Finished pieces are light and strong with a lot of color and texture.

Aasia Hamid
Aasia was born and raised in Pakistan, a country that has a rich culture and heritage. US has been her home for the last 30 years.

Aasia has always been an art lover, played with different mediums of art all her life, from pottery to painting to stained glass to fused glass. Making jewelry has been her passion since 2003. She found beads as her new painting palette.
Aasia has perfected the art of bead weaving through hours of practice and experimentation. She enjoys doing bead weaving, bead embroidery and kumihimo. She works with polymer and epoxy clay as well.
A single piece by Aasia can be a combination of several techniques. She loves teaching beadwork and kumihimo, also taking courses from other artists. Aasia sells her work at juried art shows and on her Etsy site. She works from her home studio and it’s like a candy store.
